When you told me "we are going to do a fail-over to our backup switch stack, update the primary, do a failover back to the primary and update the secondary, there will be NO DOWNTIME involved", I understood that, you were going to do some maintenance on switches and that was it.
You did not told me "Oh, and we are also going to reboot all your production machines, just because".
And you also forgot to inform us before doing it. And you did not restarted the services afterward. And since one of the machine was the MONITOR machine, we didn't got any notification either!

I bet a 12-years old could do better stacking servers in his bedroom!
Comments are added when and more important if I have the time to review them and after removing Spam, Crap, Phishing and the like. So don't hold your breath. And if your comment doesn't appear, is probably becuase it wasn't worth it.

Per me più che "rebootare tutte le macchine" facile che sia accidentalmente andata via la corrente, senza che i gruppi di continuità entrassero in funzione.-- Norbert
